Copiague is a Family Place Library

Family Place was created by Libraries For The Future and the Middle Country Public Library in 1996 to help public libraries realize their full potential as community centers and to help build a lifelong relationship between parents of young children and the library.

Visit http://familyplacelibraries.org/index.html for more information

Copiague will be offering very young patrons and their parents some exciting new programs and services designed to prepare them to meet their future educational goals.

For more information stop by the Children’s Room.

Kathleen Deerr, Assistant Director of Outreach Services and National Family Place Project at the Middle Country Public Library presents a Family Place Library banner to Copiague Memorial Public Library Director Kenneth Miller and Head of Children's Services Jackie Narkiewicz.

Family Place is a project that promotes early childhood development and literacy and was funded through a grant from the Long Island Community Foundation.
