Direct Access Holds

Direct Access holds now available to Copiague patrons!

Copiague Library patrons may now place direct access holds on items in Suffolk County libraries through Suffolk Web. This will allow you to request an item from another library directly and have it delivered here for you to pick up.

Here is how to take advantage of this great new service:

Go to "Suffolk Catalog" from the library homepage .
Click on "My Account"
Type in the barcode number on the back of your library card. You will also need to create a password, if you haven't already.
Search the county catalog for hundreds of thousands of books, audio books, DVD's, videos, CD's, etc.
When you find something you like, click on "Request Item."
Choose Copiague Library as the pick-up location.
Click SUBMIT and you're done!

You will receive a phone call when your item is here to be picked up.

NOTE: If you have trouble logging in to request a hold, contact the library. Patrons with past direct access at another Suffolk library were given a randomly assigned password, which prevents log-on with your Copiague library card. Staff will reset your password and then you will create your own new password when you log-in again. Call the Information Desk at 691-1111 for assistance.
